Hi Guys, nice to be in touch for the first time, memories come flooding back as a result of my visit to Scotland last year.

Saw some interesting country and attended the highland gathering at Crief, heard the tune on the pipes titled "Always Argyll"

Could you pass on information where I may download sheet music for this popular tune.

I,m in my fourth year of piping, and have Scottish roots. Regards Tony.

Tony

Thanks for your comments about the website.  As far as we know, "Always Argyll" is a song which was sung by Valerie Dunbar, so you might have more success looking for it as a song rather than a tune.  We don't know of it ever being played on pipes, so don't have music for it.  Hope this helps you track it down.

DRUMMERS WANTED!   Dunoon Argyll Pipe Band are returning to grade 3B for next season, and would be interested in hearing from drummers who are interested in joining the band.  We have a strong pipe corps, but only a small corps of drummers at present, so need more to successfully compete in grade 3, so would be interested in a whole corps, and anyone interested in taking over as Leading Tip.  If you are interested, or want more information, please contact us at jim@jimprentice.wanadoo.co.uk or by telephone on 01369 704006.

Hi Friends,

thank you very much for your warm and gentle words in your comment. Like you all know - it was a great pleasure for me being "your" officer during your stay in Berlin and Cologne.

We had a great time together - for all of us "Jingle Bells" became s.th. special and new, christmas lights will never be the same again, dogs and trees with a own number are seriously unique.......then we got a special person, who was "shooted" ;-)

I look forward seeing you soon in Dunoon again.....take care and I am sure to stay in contact.

Hi All

The band has just returned from a fantastic trip to Germany for the second time this year.  This time, they went to perform in the Berlin and Cologne Military Music Festival.  Full info and pics will appear on this website soon.  Thanks to the guest players who travelled with us at short notice, and a particular thankyou to the organisers for inviting us to take part in this most prestigious event.  And finally, a BIG thankyou to Steffan, our German Officer, for being a great co-ordinator and ultimately, becoming a great friend to us all.
